Pain behind the eyes can sometimes just be a headache, or it could be something worse. You could have bulging at the back of the eyes caused by pressure that has built up. This pressure can be caused by a number of things, including always looking down at a device. This pressure at the back of the head can give you headaches, cause pain in the neck and cause issues with being able to focus properly as well. Stop Looking Down At Devices

Don't look down at a device. This will lead to built-up pressure and headaches, in addition to other pain in the body. You should hold your devices at eye level, or adjust your seat so you are at eye level with your devices. Make the necessary adjustments, or use something to help hold devices such as tablets, phones, and laptops to help hold these devices for you. When sitting at a computer, change your seat and make adjustments to the screen so you aren't looking down or up, which can also cause neck pain and cause vision issues.

Take Breaks From Devices

Take breaks often from your devices to give your eyes a break. If you spend all day long on a device and you are always looking down, it's going to lead to a lot of neck pain and pressure on the back of the eyes. Take breaks every 20 minutes to give your eyes some time to adjust and to take some of the pressure off to prevent eye strain. Look away from the screen and walk away if you can. Focus on something else for at least 20 seconds every 20 minutes.

Make An Eye Appointment

If you feel this pressure at the back of the eyes and an over-the-counter pain reliever isn't helping to get rid of the pain, the pressure may have built too much that it is leaving you in pain. If it's causing your vision to blur, you need to get into the optometrist for an eye appointment and an eye exam to have this inspected further and treated as necessary.
